Signs of the Sojourner

A bit too "cozy"

I love the art and the presentation. The game is polished, beautiful, and genuinely different. What could have been better is the conversations and story. For a game that's so deeply themed on interactions, there was no dialogue at all. I would have loved to have had some choices to make during conversations, or even seen my gameplay reflected in what happened, but the player character is a silent protagonist. That is compounded by the fact that the story is very light -- the focus is much more on seeing others interact than it is about the player. Still, the game has its charm and I would like to see what these developers do next.

The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition

Childhood favorite holds up

One of my favorite series. Still as funny as when I was young and playing in EGA. The voice acting is fantastic. I'd like to be able to play the classic graphics with the voices like the CD-ROM version. I think a few of the puzzles might be a bit tricky. There's a nice hint system for that though.
