Even though I played a couple of ARPGs before, this was my first contact with the Diablo series... and I'm pleasantly surprised! I can see how this game was revolutionary for the entire genre back in 1996/1997. Of course, a couple of mechanics are quite archaic, although I still spent 2 lovely days playing Diablo. A must-play for every Diablo/ARPGs fan!
Disclaimer: I only played Mystery of the Volcano here on GOG, since I've got the other parts of the trilogy on discs. So, there is nothing special about the third installment of the franchise. Jumping feels good, levels are (somewhat) well balanced, the graphics are bearable and the sound is okay. It's just a mediocre 3D platform game. Recommended for the fans of the franchise. Otherwise, I don't think there's much sense in playing it.
