Ion Fury

Promising but needs a fix

I would like to recommend this to new comers if the game worked stable. The dev's put out a statment on how to fix the framrate drops, yet most of it downgrades it to a more ancient way possible. The Build engine still uses the Duke Nukem 3D look yet my GTX titan and quadcore cant handle over 30fps in wide areas. If you like your games looking like a CRT (old box tv) quality go for this game. but untill then, the game needs update that fixes those issues. Actual thoughts, the game is really good. price is right for the type of experience you would get from any Build FPS game. I really like that you jump straight into the game without taking the controller away. Combat is fast and impacting with a hint of daring enemies when raising the difficulty. I cant say I am favouring the Scenery Memes and goofs, maybe its the same universe as duke nukem and those damn aliens arent worth the time for our new protagonist.... girl. I like that there is a Silent Protagonist feature cause the devs know the audience would get annoyed by the cheese. that isnt to say the dialogue from the other characters are any better, oh boy clinch your pillows cause the memes are pouring like a cement truck. Level design goes from good to eh, again framrate takes a tool from looking around at it from the devs perspective. The distopian era scenery has much to desire in terms of depth of the world, but ultimately feels empty. Pedestrians are not really around for the time, its just you and your foes.
