I've played through NOX with all the classes when it first came out and now after all these years it's still just as fun. I highly recommend this title.
This is in my top 3 of all time favorite games, the story, the world, the characters and the interaction make this one of the all time greats. If you haven't played it don't let the age of it turn you away, it's well worth every second put into it.
I always had high hopes for the successors to the like of Baldurs gate, Torment and Icewind Dale but unfortunately the Neverwinter titles were always poor reflections of the great D&D games. Shadows of Undrentide is the only title in this pack that's genuinely good the rest are below average.
You don't need to love space sims to love the Freespace games, it helps though. Like the first it's packed with atmosphere and a phenomenal story, the gameplay and controls are a combo that make this game the best in the genre (that's right Best!). Be sure to find the hi-res mod online so you can set the resolution to anything above 1280x1024.
