Come to me my minions! Undead Horde plays in a style reminiscent of Overlord (but with a over head view) where you control a necromancer commanding rag-tag group of bumbling undead minion cannon fodder, going about the land causing havoc. The game features a leveling system but instead of allocating stat points, you choose one of three perk cards upon leveling up, each focusing on a specific area (More health of you, more mana or a larger command cap). Speaking of command cap, the size of your horde is determined by this. The larger the cap, the more (or stronger) creatures and people you can raise from your fallen foes, you can even raise bosses you've bested! The loot system is very much like Diablo and similar games where items dropped have a prefix and a suffix which alters their abilities. These range from having a higher critical chance to improving the abilities of your minions and there are a bunch of different types of items. You got your standard melee weapons, magic casting staves that have a range of effects and spells, ring slots with active abilities (think spells but exchangeable) and three slots of passive items that boost you or your horde. Your main HQ features several vendors which you can level up to increase the quality and rarity of items they sell with the gold you acquire. Overall the game is a bunch of fun with lots of little nods and references to other games, loads of loot and solid gameplay. If you are a fan of Overlord or similar games consider checking this out.

Let's get the good stuff out of the way first: The presentation, visuals and audio are great, the gameplay is fine for what the game is (played with kb&m), the story is silly and lighthearted. Overall what seems to be a promising game, right? Now on to some negative points: The game is suuuuper short (took around 4h to do everything), the game tries to remedy this by having multiple layouts of dungeons you run through (but they're mostly the same thing with rooms switched around) and the game is super easy. It's slightly more difficult at the beginning but that's mostly due to the fact that there is almost no tutorial and you just need to figure out stuff for yourself. Is it a good game? Sure, if you want something short and sweet to fill some time, go for it, it's not bad, I just wish it was a longer adventure. Additional information: - Controls are not rebindable, - There is no FOV slider and (at least to me) the FOV seems too high, my eyes started straining after an hour or so, - There are areas that seem to be lacking music, or perhaps it's a bug and will be fixed (this is in v1.0).
