While it's true that the game is fairly linear, you can develop your character as you wish - this is very much a game for a role-player. Your decisions do not have long-term ramifications, but they are plentiful and often remembered by NPCs. This isn't a game with masterful graphics, but the atmosphere is nonetheless pleasant and interesting. The story is excellent and has incredible depth in pre-existing literature for those who'd like to learn more about the game world. I look forward to the next instalment!
This is one of my all time favourite games! I've spent countless hours playing this when I ought to have been doing more productive things. =P I actually already have a CD for this game, but I've lost it (for the nth time) so I'm going to purchase it here so that I can just re-download it from GOG the next time I want to re-install it.
