In the early 2000s I played RE:Remake on Gamecube. As a kid, the game certainly spooked and frustrated me, often punishing me for wasting precious ammo. But I had never played the original, and that didn't feel right. Fast forward two decades, and I decided to give it a go. Once I got over the tank controls, the momentum built. It honestly holds up significantly better than I thought it would. Sure, there's the notoriously tiny inventory, but I always felt like I had just enough resources to get by.
