Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat

Pure frustration

Absolutely horrendous. How is it that I remember this game running and controlling better on the PS1 than it does on PC? Despite that I will have one unit selected, I will actually be controlling a different unit nearby and giving him commands, even though I never clicked on that unit. At times, my wizard's spells will consume the magic, but he will do nothing, despite that the enemy is well within range. It is so terribly glitchy that I cannot plan or strategize for any battle, despite that being the only thing I'm supposed to be able to do. The best I can do is set my units to walk at the enemy from the start, which is already hard to do because it will randomly select another nearby unit when I'm trying to give them their movement order, and then it will also have the movement order already selected for some units even though I never clicked it, and I can't just click on the map for the unit to move there because I need to click the move order. Seriously, I recall being able to switch between my units and give them clear orders on the PS1 (whether they would obey those orders correctly was a different story), with a controller, but apparently on a much more powerful and precise system (the PC), it's just lucky happenstance if it gives the correct order to the right unit. The fact that I have to already use their terrible interface to give commands would already be bad if it worked properly, but it doesn't even work, so wtf am I supposed to do? I have to control my units through the minimap, since clicking on the units in the battlescreen does nothing, plus you can't scroll out far enough to make use of it anyway. The PS1, with a freaking controller, gave me more control in managing units in a strategy game, than the mouse on a PC does - That's how bad the interface and glitches are in this version of the game.
