A classic by now. It's not without its flaws. The story is shallow compared to the fantastic lore, the chaos system really holding it back (high chaos presents best story on most occasions but some parts are best in low chaos albeit this is rare. In minority but it should've been more linear) and the game is rather limited in scope compared to said lore, but that's alright. The gameplay is among the best in its genre, and you can play it any number of ways. A shame Dishonored 2, while good, didn't follow up on the high chaos emily lives or high chaos emily dies endings, which fit the themes of the franchise far more than the golden age low chaos ending
