I played this game a lot in highschool and it was just as comforting to me then as it is now. It's such a great game. Funny characters, a good campaign which challenges your abilities to balance tasks, many different ways of approaching each island design in each mission and overall, really satisfying to see your island build up over time and teem with more life as you go. Highly recommend the Tropico series to any city build sim fan. Definitely start with this and work up to the latest, you'll have a great time.
