While some people were hyped for the game for years, I only found out about it a year before its release. So I did have some hype for it and was the first game I ever preordered. That said, CP2077 has convinced me to never preorder a video game again. The game was a buggy mess on day 1. IDK it's current state but there are still features missing that should've been in the game. Example, the Wanted System is barebones and barely works. The cops don't chase you but instead teleport behind (which they changed to teleport further away but they still teleport). They pubicly advertised wall-climbing on their twitter but later removed it. Disregarding all the hype and missing features from the game, literally watch a comparison video CP2077 and any old GTA game. How does a game that came out more than a decade ago have more features? Examples include water physics, flat tires, proper NPC AI, buildings you can enter to do various side tasks, etc. I would never recommend someone to buy and play CP2077. The only circumstance I would recommend it or play it again is if all the major bugs are fixed and you want a nice screenshot of a beautiful city for a wallpaper. Witcher 3 is literally better than CP2077 in every way, no argument.
