Underrail has great depth and world building / atmosphere rivaling other similar iso rgp's. The combat is challenging if your character build is good, brutal if your build is trash. Which brings up the biggest flaw for me with this game. There's no respec. When you're just starting out and learning the mechanics a few hours in to find out your build is trash, and have to start over. Despite that, its an exquisite rpg, looking forward to the upcoming sequel, Underrail 2: Infusion.
+++ Great story / not afraid to bring you in a ride along to the abyss and give you an existential crisis ++ good stealth and combat mechanics +- The police system is a welcome addition, but isnt inetgrated enough into the rest of the game all in all a must have
Really fun, but has a audio balancing issue. Occasionally even with sound settings down 50%, different sound effects, notably the "prepare" chime during fights, will randomly pop extremely loudly, so much so that i was bleeding from my ears while wearing headphones. You'll be playing for a while with sound settings you think are reasonable and then "BOOM", this game takes a battering ram to your eardrums when wearing headphones. get it on sale
