The game couldn't catch me at all. Already the begin was sort of shallow when entering this dusty bar with scavanger and criminals all around. Then the music absolutely adds nothing to the atmosphere for me but more pushes me down all the side. Sorry but this western blues just doesn't fit to space in my opinion. Then the gameplay is horrible. Targets that are said to be easy kill you within no time but difficult targets can be destroyed with not even the minor difficulty? WTF??? And why do I have a spacecraft, but am only able to move it in 2D-level? Why not make some nasty evation maneuvers, get higher or deeper in space (like this nasty fighters do all the time - that's why you can't hit them) or just change a course to another point? No, instead you have to fight with your own controls to at least make another keyboard setting then there was originally programmed. Really, this pisses me off so much. Absolutely regret to even have spend money on this >:(
Dieses Spiel bietet im Vergleich zu all den anderen Spielen mit 08/15-Gameplay eine spannende Abwechslung. Die Story ist ergreifen, wenn auch zum Teil gruselig gestaltet. Das Gameplay wirft einen von einer Herausforderung vor die Nächste und stellt wirklich etwas Neues in dem Sinne dar. Sehr gutes Voiceplay und Musik von einem anderen Stern unterstreichen eine Atmosphäre, der man sich nicht mehr so schnell entziehen kann. Das zusammen mit der ein oder anderen Überraschung im Spiel machen dies zu einem wirklich gelungenen Titel. Leider muss man bei der Grafik sagen, dass sie heute schon ein wenig veraltet wirkt. Man kann aber damit leben. Wovon ich stattdessen enttäuscht bin, ist das offene und nichtssagend gestaltete Ende. Man merkt, dass die Entwickler zum Nachdenken anregen wollten, aber so, wie sie es aufgezogen haben, wirkt es lieblos. Ein bisschen mehr Belohnung mit Wohlfühlcharakter hätte es schon sein dürfen. Dafür gibt es dann auch einen Stern Abzug für ein Spiel, das ansonsten großes Potenzial zeigt und sicher noch so Manchen erfreuen wird.
I've been struggeling with this game now for quite a while now. The mechanics are not very complex - and that makes it really annoying. The AI, even on the lowest setting, is incredibly strong and violent. For less then one hour on a map and it already spams you with waves of entire armies until your small settlement you have slowly and carefully been building, is completely destroyed. And if for once you have an army, you are of course not able to guide it like with real strategy. But your soldiers just stand there and attack until they are all wiped out. Retreat when injured and maybe heal? Of course not! Trade or diplomacy is also not working at all, at least it doesn't seem to have any ingame value. Those buildings are just plain useless. Not to mention the annoying building system which basicly prohibits building new buildings on almost all of the map. All in all a pretty sad experience I must admit. Shouldn't have wasted my money on this.
