Terra Invicta

This is THE Game

I'm a big fan of Paradox Grand Strategy games. Between EU4, CK2, Vicky 2, HOI3-4, Stelarris, etc... I have about 3,000 hours. This is the modern Grand Strategy game that Paradox is too scared to make. People keep saying it's 2 games in one, and I think that an understatement. Playing a game of Terra Invicta is more like playing 5 games across a single unified set of systems, each of which add to the depth of the simulation and interact with each other. The first several hours will be filled with new discoveries and systems. You may want to start over, but everything is intuitive enough that eventually you'll find yourself plaing puppet master with the great nations of the world, exploring the solar system, and defending humanity from the greatest existential threat it's ever faced. I cannot recommend this enough.

Cyberpunk 2077

Buy it on sale

It's a fun enough game. I had a good time with it. I don't think I'd have paid full price though.

Old World

The exact game I've been looking for

I grew up playing civilization games. Civ 2 was the first game I ever played. I have sunk endless hours into the following Civ games. I really liked Civ 3 and 4, 5 was a let down (though I still have 600 hours on it), and 6 was better, but not the same as the glory days. Aside from that I've played a plethora of other 4x games. (Masters of Magic is another classic favorite) Now, I generally play Paradox Grand Strategy games. (Mostly CK II and EU IV) I've been wanting a game that contains the fun gameplay of the Civ games, with the narrative and mechanical depth of the Paradox Grand Strategy games. This is certainly it. This game has been a joy to play, and one that I see becoming a fast favorite of mine. My only complaint is that I want more!!! I hope the developer sees great success and is able to develop more content. I would love to see the same concept expanded to further ages, and I would love to see more civilizations.
