This game is not a real sequel to Dawn of War 1. If you want a real RTS you should play Dawn of War 1. The master collection on GOG is top tier. I think it is better then most of the big boys. Dawn of War 2 is a weird real time tactical RPG. With interesting characters and a fun progession system. Especially through it's first expansion included here. Couple that with a good story, and a suprisingly fun "horde mode" multiplayer, you have a great game. A great entry point into the Warhammer 40k universe. Dawn of War 2, it's not really a sequel but a great game in it's own right. Play both and welcome to the francise that got me reading 40k novels. I became a massive fan of the universe and have never touched the expensive tabletop miniatures game.
This game is the weakest of the Arkham franchise. This really only due to the plot twist kind of undermining the premise. I would have preffered the twist character be a seperate part of the plot. That is about all I can say spoiler free. Grond take downs feed wonky in this game. Just not quite right. So that is all the negatives out of the way. The game is still super fun, has a great DLC. The time period it takes place in, is a wonderful Year 2 of Batman and I really enjoyed it. Seeing Gotham earlier and getting to explore it. Tons of fantastic Character moments. Genuinely the good parts of the plot are really strong. Alfred is fantastic in this game. The challenge maps are also some of the best in the franchise. This entry is not perfect but is criminally underrated in my opinion. My only gripe about the GOG release is that they were not able to perserve the multiplayer which was a uniqe and super fun experience. If they manage to bring this back in the future. This becomes 5 stars.
