I cannot get this game to run, despite my laptop being much, much better than the minimum requirements. It crashes on launch. Every post which claims to have solved the problem also hasn't posted the solution. While I don't think this is GOG's fault, I am also upset at the sheer lack of support or community posts regarding this problem on their website. All the discussions are on Steam forums. Worms 2 also crashes on launch after one cutscene, but at least there is a solution to fix the problem. This is just baffling.
I love the new port, but I cannot put any Boom compatible mods in the game without a Bethesda account and that ruins it for me. There should be a drag and drop feature for mods in the game that allow for independent download and install. That is the point of GOG after all.
Could not initially play the game. Had to make a 'GOG Save' folder in order to get past the 'start button issue' that other reviewers are having. My save file refuses to save any inventory at all (including in chests) so all of my 'progress' excluding days survived is gone. This breaks it for me. I understand it is in early access and anyone that reads this comment should take it as such. But if these issues are not bugs, but features meant to force people to download 'GOG galaxy' in order to properly play it, then I am done with the game. I do not know the game creator, but I will not support any DRM moves by anyone on a website dedicated to making games DRM free. Otherwise, the game is great. The visuals are striking and the concept of survival in the desert a good one. The mechanics are fine, after you get used to them. There is a lot of potential in this game. Just know that the issues it currently has (at least those I had), may outweigh its good parts. I will wait for an update; perhaps it will fix these issues.
