I hate to be the bearer of bad vibes and totally repudiate people's favored opinion of this brave platformer...but I just couldn't get into it. It was on sale, I like platformers, and the female protagonist sold it. But it's just unjust. It's not fun to progress in the game. The scale makes it hard to feel like you've managed to accomplish anything. Unlike most platformers, it doesn't tailor the experience of experimentation. It adds a lot of hard levels instead with unclear solutions. I felt that the gameplay was trying to make up for the weak story. Not that I need a lot. It's a platformer after all. But the blood, the filter on screen and the very mundane dialogue felt like I was reading someone's thoughts instead of actual characters. Very hard to believe. It reminds of when I tried to 100% Hotline Miami, I couldn't do it on my own. I watched the guides and re-enacted it to get the achievement. That was not a fun memory, and I don't intend on return to Sunblaze anytime soon. Sorry guys, it just wasn't worth it for me.
This game, despite being critically acclaimed, was reduced into a state of abandonment. In fact, when I first heard of the game and wanted to play it, I considered going through so many hoops just to get my hands on the classic game. Which even then was not guaranteed to run on modern systems. Luckily for me, and the rest of the community this game is given new life for anyone to play. In its current form it is a priceless experience. And I'll never forget the important precedence this game represents. Maybe you won't like the puzzles, or the pacing, but I've personally never felt connected to a piece of software. Manny is the coolest. The cast is vibrant. The writing pristine. The Art Deco design. The soundtrack. There's nothing in the industry quite like it. Just keep this in mind if you ever decide to buy it and play it for yourself. The game was almost completely lost to time. Cut a slice of gaming history.
Although it may appear to be a children's novel with its serene and cradling atmosphere, Cavern of Dreams is more complex than it seems. This quirky 3-D platformer will have you hugging clouds as you jump, maneuver, and save your dragon's next of kin.
This is a very difficult game! It's a really fun platformer with some obnoxious music, but the overall style and presentation suit the game's off-color humor. For only $1 you could challenge yourself to a really tough indie platformer. (keep in mind that you should use the cheat before Tcheco reaches the floor at the beginning of the game)
Star Wars TCS is as intuitive as it is sophisticated with detail. The lego games are known to be accessible, fun, and adequate adaptations of their licenses. However, what sets this particular title apart from its contemporaries or subsequent titles is the Star Wars mythology. As Traveler's Tales engine and design elements cater to the world, characters and gameplay elements with stupendous simplicity. It's authentic, dynamic, and adorned with intimacy. It fulfills many quotas that any enthusiast should absolutely experience, and 100%.
