Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft

This is how you do a remaster

This series is extremely nostalgic for me. I still remember when a lil old me actually went to a store and bought TR2 as her very first game with her own money. This is everything I could have hoped for. My review is very heavily biased for those who are familiar with the series. I'd imagine most newcomers would go with the modern controls. For me? 100% tank controls. That's how the game was designed and that's how I remember it. Thefore whatever handicaps the modern controls might have, I don't give a damn. What I care about is making the game actually playable in modern rigs and updating the graphics. And boy did they make a good job. They respect the original vision while making them more vibrant and realistic. One of my personal favorites must have been Opera House from TR2. This was such an enjoyable update and gave the level more personality. I absolutely love how you can switch between updated and classic graphics on the fly. The subtitles are also greatly appreciated, as are all the language option. I must also appreciate how this includes all the DLC and bonus levels, some of which I never played back on the day. It even introduces NG+. I also must mention some quality of life improvements, like how you can perform the Crawlspace Roll in TR3. This maneuvor was actually only introduced in Chronicles, before that you always had to turn around and exit a crawlspace feet first. If you are a fan of classic TR then don't hesitate for a second.
