Thoroughly enjoyed it
You feel strong gliding between buildings and kicking ass. It took me nearly 30 hours to complete my first playthrough because I was actively seeking combat. The vampiric powers are awesome once you learn how to use them. The story is pretty interesting and the detective in our head is likeable. But I do wish we could skip his flashback sequences on a second playthrough. Performance is surprisingly good and the snowy city looks pretty. Would be nice to be able to do manual saves but many modern games don't allow that for some reason. There are 6 endings in total. Not as much player agency and freedom as in Bloodlines 1, but you feel much more of a badass, which is a good tradeoff in my book. For me personally, it was 60 euros well spent. I started a new playthrough right after the first to try out a different clan. Waiting for the expansion packs with more story content!

It's really good, actually
Yes, yes... I know. Bloodlines 1 yadayadayada. Besides that. Bloodlines 2 is a really competent game. It has an interesting story hook, an tight main quest that keeps you on the edge, cool characters, good dialog and general Vampire The Masquerade vibe. DAMN THAT ATMOSPHERE! That vibe is trough the roof. It lacks roleplay elements, there are few NSCs to interact with, few places to visit besides the main quest, but at the same time really smoothed out and streamlined what we saw back when it was announced and had a different developer. THIS GAME DESERVES AN AUDIENCE! I see it's shortcommings but I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THIS!

well - kinda funny but i've met some bugs like not skipping dialogs / cutscenes / Also sometimes i;ve seen replacements like {{ person.name }} in dialogs. IHHO - too expensive for now

This game was made just for me ^.^
I am happy this game was made at all. As someone who has played through the original Bloodlines at least 20 times, and has played the tabletop version since First Edition, I am fascinated by the lore of the world and this game delivers on that: You've got the intrigue of the primogen court, a new Prince of the city, and old mysteries of the Elders. The characters are great and you get to unravel their deep secrets. This game is a directed story (with some simple sidequests seemingly just to boost your experience points if you want to mix and match Disciplines), whereas the original was a series of mini-stories spread over 4 different cities. I don't think one way of storytelling is better than the other, this game has a much bigger main story and leads you along it, whereas in the original you had to explore to find all the little stories and you could easily miss them. Bloodlines 2 looks amazing, the detail in the world and the purposeful clutter of the streets all adds up to a great setting and atmosphere, it makes you feel like you're really there. The combat system is impressive, hand-to-hand combat is always difficult in first-person view, especially for people prone to motion sickness, but they've managed to make it work really well. Playing as an Elder is very satisfying, this is the sort of chronicle my friends and I always enjoyed the most: make some powerful 7th generation vampires and go tear up the city. The original Bloodlines is still a classic, and I would absolutely trust these people to do a remaster *HINT HINT!*
