Not really, but you can get the idea. It is a boss russ game with little puzzles and pathfinding between them.
Sadly the lore is incomprehensible even with translation of runes without judaism knowledge, you can find a video of that tough.
You can roll, run and shot an arrow verticaly or diagonaly you can also use a return arrow function that works also when the arrow returns to you. It is just fine as a game.
good game, difficult but enjoyable. I tried to play when I was young and failed miserably, coming back as an adult it was a lot more sensible and my timing was less desperate, made for a challenging but classic game
Gotcha! I yelled in triump as I beat the incredibly exasperating boss in the room with destructible pillars. I had been chipping away at him for close to 45 minutes. And that's when I realized what my feelings are for this game.
Titan Souls does provide the sense of triumph when defeating a particularly challenging boss, but the victories never feel that satisfying. The issue lies in the combat mechanics. The abilities of the protagonist are intentionally simple, but this results in the capacity to defeat the bosses often depending more on fortuitous geometry than raw skill on the part of the player.
I think that a well designed game is a lot like a scientific theory. If the game's mechanics are well designed than once the player has developed sufficient skill, they should be able to reliably overcome the same challenge consistently. Naturally games have a bit of Chaos Theory in them, and results will never be 100% predictable, but if the mechanics are sound and the controls are tight, skilled players should be able to reliably best a completed challenge with relative ease.
There is some of that in Titan Souls, and players can definitely get better, but the simplistic combat mechanics juxtaposed with bosses that often have far superior speed, and arena design that puts the player's movement acuity at a severe disadvantage, often results in a player's victory being one of more luck, than skill.
Even when a player knows the bosses attack patterns, knows the correct sequence of moves to produce victory, the languid movement of the hero, and sluggishness of the controls, just results in a half hearted sense of accomplishment when you win.
So, the core of the game, the boss battles, are a frustrating experience, because of a poverty in the central combat mechanics and sluggish controls. There can be satisfying victories, but far too often I find myself saying, "Phew. Guess I was lucky."
Exploration is pleasant.

I suppose the best way I could describe what's wrong with this game is that it has some optional settings which appear to make the game literally impossible to beat. If you know that, you can probably tell what kind of developers made it.
It is quite difficult, and varied in its boss design. That is all well and good, but it can get to be a bit much. It is particularly offensive in hard mode. Otherwise, it's alright. You die in one hit, but so do the bosses, if you hit their weak points.
The gameplay is dodge rolling, aiming, firing, and recalling your arrow. That's about all you can do, and you only have the one arrow to hit things with, although you can at least manage to hit some bosses while recalling your arrow. Some will like this game, but personally I don't hold it up as something worth experiencing.
I was expecting kind of a "Shadow of the Colossus" 2D/pixelart rendition. And well, while finding out how to kill the bosses (like in the aforementioned gane) can be exciting (although sometimes you can get desperate), killing them is not: you'll die dozens of times and even though you already got how to kill the boss, getting to kill them can pretty be a nightmare. Worst of all, most of the times,when you kill the boss, it feels that you had been lucky, even though you have been trying dozens of times.
I finished the game in about 5 hours. I died almost 500 times (and there are around 15 bosses)
I would not recommend this game.
