Theme Park

Since it's original release this might had been an fantastic game. But for todays standards this game is not so good. There are also much better alternatives on the market today.

I've tried to give this game a shot a couple times but I just can't get in to it. Nothing is explained very well - research is hidden away in the top bar menu and I can't tell if it is actually progressing, you have to randomly negotiate with staff members for pay increases by clicking a bunch on the screen (as far as I can tell), buying stock for your stores is annoying (and only some require it? also a mystery), the stock market system... I could go on but I think the main issue is that these things really detract from the fun of building your own park. The UI also is really confusing which doesn't help anything. The sound effects and music are also very annoying... if you want to listen to the sound of a kid coughing/puking every second this game is for you. The music abruptly shifts depending on what ride you are closest to and isn't exactly pleasant to listen to. At the very least I am not experiencing the crashes other users are and am playing on both Windows 10 and 11. I might try again after looking up some guides (this game should really come with a digital manual) but I just think there are better theme park games both old and new.

I don't play this game,I'm looking for theme park world. Although there is a downloadable version on net,I still kind want to see it on GOG.However bullfrog is still the best memory of my childhood.

Even if your machine meets all of the system requirements, it will crash within minutes every time. You cannot play this game on a modern machine.

Along with Detroit this game kept me up many a late hours during high school and college. It has many customizable features including the need to balance salt in your food with the ice in your softdrinks. Research is included, and pathing plays a huge role. Most modern sims owe a great deal to this game and some are simply the same core game with different themes and upgraded graphics. If you want to see where it all began this is as good a place to start as any.
