Theme Park

This is the exact game that you remember from the nineties, unfortunately it's also got the exact same bugs. Once your theme park has reached a certain size, handymen and mechanics become useless as they zip around in circles. The only way to stop it is to fire them, hire some more and then repeat the process in a few months. Apart from that, you'll get plenty of game time out of it.

Theme Park was a very good game for its time and provides lots of nostaliga value. It might be worth playing if you played it before and can't get enough of bullfrog humor. However, if you are looking for pure gameplay value, Rollercoaster Tycoon appeared 5 years after this game and is available on gog.com for the same price and is mostly better in everything. I can't really rate this game down just because someone made the game with newer technology better than it was ^^

This is the game that initially that got me into management games and it still holds up well today. Managing all your staff, building rides and keeping all your customers happy is all extremely absorbing and well designed. If you haven't played it then download it and get wrapped up in the game and if you have played it get back into this classic and re-explore it.

I loved this game back in the days, and I still love it... for the 15+ minutes until it gets crashed over and over again :(
