I have the Witcher III Complete edition on Steam, so i haven't gotten it here, but Witcher III is one of the best games i have played. The story is extremely well written, the battles with monsters reward understanding of their abilities and weaknesses without pigeon-holing the player into fighting one way, and choices can matter. The biggest thing I would change is the severe drop in experience for completing quests after a certain level. A level cap would be better, respecting what a player may need to unlock all perk slots at the end of Blood and Wine DLC, and have a few points to start with on New Game Plus. Watching for Witcher IV when it comes out.

I really can't say anything new. It's worth every cent, all DLCs are also worth each cent spent, this game might have only 1 problem which is not the best combat system, but you can easily fix it with different modes. This game is just a masterpiece.

I know this phrase gets used a lot these days but Witcher 3 is genuinely, in my honest opinion, the best game ever made. Witcher 3 the Wild Hunt embodies what every RPG strives for: Excellent Story, Engaging Combat, Meaningful Side Quests, Exploration and the feeling of being not only being part of the world, but an integral cog in its workings. The world is beautiful, rich and diverse in settings, memorable, and feels alive almost everywhere you are. There is always a Troll, bandit, wolf or monster around the corner to confront you or to present you with an interesting quest. The quests are excellently crafter and can vary from serious, even sombre events to just plain silly happenings that lighten up the mood, the writting is fantastic and accurately conveys the medieval feeling of the setting and the slavic folklore. Though the game sports Side and Main quests, there are some side-quests that are simply amazing and unfold stories as intricate and complex as even other games around. The combat is probably the weakest part of the game, but only in contrast to the game's other components. The combat is fluid and challenging though sometimes repetitive and at times unresponsive, some might find the use of potions and alchemy to be a bit cumbersome but for the true Witcher Experience they are a must. The skill trees also offer some vastly different combat styles while not straying away from what a witcher would actually do. To sum up. I love this game, it's simply fantastic, it's worth every penny and then some, the only real problem I have with it is that it is the last we will see of Geralt and that makes me sad. Go play the game you enviable person who is about to experience for the first time the greatness that is the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt!

I just completed my second play through on PS4 and it absolutely took my breath away again. The world, the story, the characters, the gameplay, positively shattering, Thank you so much CDP Red for this thrilling and wondrous game, and thank you so much for all the amazing adventures that I've had and that I'm sure to have in the future. Thank you :)

I'm a seasoned gamer with a lifetime of RPG experience and this game easily makes it to my top 5 games of all time. I'm honestly not even sure where to begin so I'll just start with the writing. The dialogue and story in this game are nothing short of Oscar worthy - every interaction with other characters in this bustling world feels genuine and not without purpose. The combat - very satisfying with a bit of a learning curve, however, once I got to around level 6, the combat became extremely fluid. Once you start using the evade / dodge button effectively you'll be dancing around opponents and slaying monsters with relative ease in no time. Character development is extremely satisfying - I played as a melee / fire damage hybrid and really enjoyed my first play through of the main story. So far I have finished up the the end of "Hearts of Stone" which was utterly fantastic and I've heard that "Blood and Wine" is even better. The main story arc had me emotionally upset with the ending I got - the choices you make actually have an effect on the world and outcome of the story (*cough* mass effect 3 *cough*), something I will certainly remedy on my next play through. Also, this game is absolutely gorgeous - the environments and places you visit are teeming with life and usually danger. The forests are beautiful and the snowy isles of Skellige had me taking screenshots like an amateur photographer. This game has crazy depth, and at 100 hours I still feel compelled to jump back in and get into B&W dlc. If you are a fan of great stories, great games, or just want to get lost in an amazing world where adventure is all around you then look no further than W3GOTY edition. You will not be disappointed and you owe it to yourself to experience one of the best games ever made.
