Good Price/Performance-Ratio

if you look for a nice turnbased Tactic-Rpg with a rougelike touch, otherwise it's best to investigate it carefully because aside from the good combat and the small strategic part(Party-managment) the game is..well not bad but strange but let's not disgress. The Story...the game aims/claims to tell the Arthurian Legend in a new, mature way...the scenes where they use drawings&told or written descritpion are average to really good but the dialogs and behavoir of the chars really hurt. They try so hard to be brutal,mature, sinister that you get the feeling you have a bunch of older kids that read a marvel comic about a alternate Arhurian like story and now try to replay it. Sometimes it funny but most the time it feels just strange and improper. Oh and don't expect this Arthurian story to be close to the Legend or the History. The Exploration...is ok, it's not real exploration and the camera+Leveldesign restict you but overall it's good for a game of this price Tag. Without claiming Exploration being a major plus i had not even mentioned it as a "negative". Long story cut short, it's good enough but a strong point. The Art..i really liked it, i only wished they did not claimed to be the mature Arthurian Legend and instead made it a "free story" about some unknown Knight instead of forcing the new "layout" to a old Legend. Could have spared those dialogs :) The Combat, really nice, a good combination of feature, good diffculty curve, you can use the enviroment,...overall really good Strategic part(Partymanegment) ok+. you get some really nice option here but it take while until you can really make longterm plan and you will lack funds for quite some time, together with the lack of free saving it can really hit you in the back for some time if you made a fault. Overall, if you like turnbased combat,taking the discount into Mind, you can't really make something wrong, there much wore ways to spend 13 EUR.

Budget Turn Based Tactics

It's an above average game if you acept it for what it is: a very linear, not overly complex blackguards/banner saga. Story/Presentation - Narrative segments are well done: narrator voice is appropriate and helps with immersion while comic book style "pages" present the story unfolding - Dialogues are not voice acted and sometimes hard to read for non-native speakers (the barbarian and the blacksmith posed problems to me) - run-of-the-mill fantasy story with a faux-historical twist - Extremely linear, 1 choice to be made and i'm not even sure what it does (the ending does little to clarify) Character options - This was pretty average due to the limited synergy between skills - 8 characters each with 7 active and 3 passive skills. Out of these you can only use 4 at any given time. While they may seem a lot they're pretty simplistic in execution once you actually play the game: push/pull, more damage, more aoe, summons and movement, It sounds like a lot however for me combat was the same for the entire game: push people off ledges, then move& 1-2 shot from backstab/flank and finish with willpower recovery - I mentioned willpower before: this is basically a semi-limited resource that makes you better at everything and i assume it was supposed to be used "sparingly". Unfortunately it's easy to regenerate it if you plan a bit, too easy: i spammed it practically every encounter. - Equipment is stat increasing only, with a few procs on damage during the mid-late game. I never felt excited for any upgrade Encounter design - There are some environmental hazards: fires, oil pits, ledges, but i ignored them for a large part of the game due to them not being needed - Terrain coupled with enemy design mede encounters vulnerable to alpha strikes - Enemy variety was mediocre: ranged guy, melee guy, buffing guy, glass cannon guy with obvious weaknesses and strengths It's a competent game, for a niche audience that i'd cautiously recommend if you accept the lack of replayability

If you like Banner Saga

If you've played Banner Saga and other turn-based strategy "tactics" games, then you'll feel right at home. Artwork and animation (and music) is wonderful, seems hand-animated, which is great. Unfortunately, like the first Banner Saga, the game is quite short. That's fine, just so you remember it's only (less than) $20. At times, the game feels completely unfair, but as you develop your play style and not rush into battles, you'll find that battles can be beaten. Having said that, there's no way to adjust the difficulty level and saving slots are rare and only if you beat a stage. You'll find random items throughout the stages, and you can only buy things at shops in towns, but not all towns have a marketplace or Blacksmiths. Sometime that's frustrating, because you have to back travel to previous visited town. You level up using notarization points or something like that. You get points buy reading notes, killing enemies and just completing areas. You can only purchase skills on the maps area, prior to entering a location. If you find a battle difficult, I suggest you fall back and let foot soldiers come to you. Archers will NOT follow you, which is bad AI, but you can use that against the computer. Use your overwatch skill to gain an advantage at the soldiers. Also, a nice strategy is when you get the archer, buy the animal companion skill - they serve as an additional until in your typical four group. Also, the Knight is the best fighter, but you do lose him for a few levels, so remember to level up the rest of your roster and not rely so much on him. The thief is great for this one skill that will always attack until she misses. Put on top of that poisons and other passive skills and you have a great character. Some random bugs I've encountered in the game is "invisible" barrels, for example, none of my character could pass a certain point unless I destroy a barrel - then the pathfinding will allow you to move pass that area.

Хорошая тактика

Это пошаговая тактическая игра в средневековом сеттинге сюжет, которой построен на вольной трактовке британских легенд о короле Артуре. Сам сюжет не вызывает особого интереса и служит скорее фоном для праздника «насилия и мяса». Если присмотреться, то можно заметить, что практически каждый бой начинается с западни, в которую попадают герои. В начале каждого боя мы боремся за тактическое преимущество и только после этого расправляемся с противником. Во второй половине игры количественное и качественное преимущество оказывается на стороне противника и малейшие ошибки начинаю приводить к гибели всего отряда. Из-за таких перегибов бои становятся непредсказуемыми. Например, победу над финальным боссом я одержал с одним Утером, т.к. мои напарники довольно быстро полегли в самой прелюдии. Этот калека, забившись в угол с Экскалибуром и поглощая неизвестные зелья, умудрился прирезать всех копейщиков на уровне, всех зомби, три призыва летучих существ и главного злодея. Игру стоит попробовать. Достоинства: - приятная графика; - взаимодействие с окружением; - кровавые добивания. Недостатки: - нет возможности выбирать сложность; - битвы «засады на засаде» - сохранения только в определенных точках; - линейность, без побочных заданий.

Quite good but has flaws

Action point turn based combat, decent story. Pathfinding in exploration mode isnt the best. Has bugs that can ruin save game, forcing you to restart the most recent quest. Encountered a bug that froze the whole game (pull arrow shot at an enemy unit who was immune to knockbacks and was standing on 1st step of stairs). Overall quite good compared to more expensive games
