Stranglehold

Отличная игра для 2007, давно ее ищу....Слава богам)

Stranglehold is an average, but enjoyable shooter. Fun environment interaction, cool mechanics for shooting dudes, Chow Yun Fat with a horrific English accent. The only downside is that the default field of view is so narrow that it made me motionsick by the end of the second level, to the point where I couldn't play any longer. The camera gets so up close and personal that it almost feels like a first person shooter. Be wary of that if you do buy it.

Played this numerous times on Xbox and it's glorious! John Woo has created some of the movies ever like Bullet in the Head, Hard Boiled, Face Off, Red Cliff (director's cut), Windtalkers (director's cut / yes, go judge me) and then the very best movie of all time: The Killer (also with Chow Yun-Fat) Being a gigantic fan of John Woo, I gotta say that Stranglehold's story doesn't hold a candle to the movies. It's fine and it has his signature. Still quite entertaining. Not more, not less. But the gameplay... That's where its at! It makes you feel like a complete badass when you shoot at someone and everything around that person just get wrecked and throws sparks all over the place. Can't wait to play this again on PC after more than 10 years.

Fantastic 3rd person shooter that really captures Hard Boiled. Graphically, has aged well (though make sure you get the GOG FOV fix to support widescreen perspective) Gameplay wise, its still every bit as much slow-mo bullet-time fun as it ever was

Поначалу отлично играется, но во второй миссии началось... Следите за руками, задания идут подряд: 1. Уничтожь 9 столов. 2. Уничтожь ещё 16 столов. 3. Утопи 4 судна. 4. Установи 14 зарядов. На п. 4 я уже начал подумывал, что, если следующим заданием станет такая же бездарщина, игру я брошу. Но баг, который не решился перезапуском игры с контрольной точки, решил всё за меня: чтобы пройти дальше, нужно отстрелить железную хреновину, на которой держатся бочки. Бочки должны скатиться и открыть путь. У меня бочки ничего не открыли с 4 попыток. На ютьюбе они прекрасно валятся. Пробовал стрелять с разных углов, ни фига. Ну и пёс с ней. Правда, денег жалко, потому что специально брал в полную цену, не дожидаясь скидок, хотя поиграть мне не горело. Но я давно слышал о ней и хотел когда-нибудь пощупать, а купил, чтобы таким образом поддержать инициативу и отблагодарить за а) выход в принципе и б) с полным русским переводом. Но что толку с того и другого, если оценить это я так и не сумел? Моя оценка: 0 профуканных рублей из 249. P. S. Хоть обминуситесь, проблема от этого не решится. Надеюсь, вы с ней не столкнётесь.
