Star Wars™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II continues the story of Kyle Katarn, a young mercenary that successfully infiltrated the Empire, as he embarks on a quest to discover his past and learn the ways of the Jedi. In order to protect the galaxy Katarn must confront his father's murderers, led by the Dark Jedi Jerec, and stop them from obtaining the mysterious powers of a "Valley of the Jedi", a focal point for Jedi power and a Jedi burial ground. As Katarn embarks on his journey to defeat the Dark Jedi he must also shape his destiny, by choosing to follow either the light side, or the dark side.
Mysteries of the Sith
Kyle Katarn's adventures continue five years after the events in Dark Forces II. Invading Imperial forces advance upon a quiet Rebel outpost, interrupting Kyle's trianing of a brave new Jedi, Mara Jade. First introduced in Timothy Zahn's award-winning Star Wars™ novel, Heir to the Empire, Mara Jade combines her experiences as a smuggler and Emperor's Hand with her apprenticeship as a Jedi Knight. Mara's training will continue in the field as she makes use of four new weapons and five new Force™ powers to secure supplies for the New Republic. Meanwhile, Kyle pursues what he believes to be his destiny as he searches for secret treasures in an ancient Sith temple. Will you uncover the Mysteries of the Sith?
This a great game and a classic that should be played and experienced.
Trying to play it on Windows 10 with this GOG download, however? You're better suited just sitting down at your desk and ramming your forehead against it several times at full velocity.
Clunky, broken and just an all around dumpster fire. Avoid this at all costs unless GOG decides to give it away for free. (Which they should.)
Both of the games don't work on windows 10 displaying only a black screen with hud, and sound, but nothing more than a black screen.
There is a fix on the forums but it involves pirating the game... And it's an stickied post... How the heck do you charge people for this, when they're getting a better version for free?!
This game doesn't work on my system, I always get a black screen when I start a new game after the first cutscene plays (the cutscene works at least). The HUD shows up as well, but thats it.
SWJK or Jedi Knight is a mediocre fps/third person star wars romp.
As is always the case lucasarts puts a decent game in an obsolete clunky engine.
Pros are somehow this relic still works, with minimal effort.
Also pretty good replay value ai was ok for the time.
Cons controls are very weird, sabre battles are unbalanced.
Graphics and animations are awful even were pretty bad then.
If you liked dark forces you will probably like this.

This is an odd game that may be for you but rates a c+ at best.
Doom is the best fps game.
Getting this game to even run is a pain, but een if you do and at high resolutions, mouse control is garbage and the framerate is atrocious. Don't even risk it.
