Timeless classic!
Absolute classic fast paced arena shooter with DM/TDM/CTF, supports bots, I have doubts humans still play it online. But pricing is too expansive for almost 25 years old game.

Whos idea is this ridiculous PRICE?
That price???Whos idea is this?Almost 16 years old and IS this Game still being supported by devs?and can you still find populated servers??IF the answer is YES to both those questions then the price IS well worth it and ill come back and give this review five stars!..Oh and buy it again......

Absurd pricing
You take an older great FPS and strap on a terrible pricing system and this is exactly what you get. It's too old to be priced in this manner.

Too expensive for 1999
Quake 3 is absolutely amazing, but I mean c'mon $20 for something that came out almost 21 years ago? I've seen some modern games going for cheaper than that. Albeit I did get this on sale for $11, so I'm lucky. I'm pretty sure the main reason for this price tag is the inclusion of Team Arena, which in all honesty ain't that good compared to the base game, so you're basically getting Quake 3 with a useless addon. If you're gonna get this too, make sure to download a source port. That way you get Anisotropic Filtering, widescreen support and Ant-Aliasing. I would recommend either ioQuake3 or Spearmint.
