PURE COCAINE FPS

I love that game. I love that game. Did I mention that I love that game? (: It's simple. It's fast. It's gory. It's raw. It's instinctual. It sounds great — just listen to the beautiful sounds of the rockets comin' right at you (and hopefully miss you!). It's pretty (yes, even in 2018). Unlike many modern shooters and/or action games, it requires actual skill (cheers to all the bunny-hoppers out there). It's awesome. It's crazy. I don't care if you're a Doom fanboy — this is the defition of the FPS genre for me! Counter-Strike is another story (it's team-oriented FPS). You will be railed. You will be gunned. You will be melted. You will be humiliated. WELCOME TO THE ARENA! FIGHT!

Fun game, too many bots.

I played this back in the day and had a blast. Picked it up recently on GOG in 2022, and the majority of servers are just full of bots and spectators. I guess if you want it for nostalgia, go for it. If you're expecting the old school Quake III Arena, sadly, it's long gone.

Первый опыт и впечатление.

(Quake 3 Arena получен бесплатно от недавней раздачи Bethesda) (Проходил с русским языком установленным из steamcommunity) Игру я прошел полностью на 3 (из 5) сложности. При прохождении боты вели себя очень уместно и чтобы пройти уровень приходилось сильно вкладываться для того чтобы выйти в лидеры. На последнем уровне я был удивлен тем, что Xaero не раз меня убивал Рейлганом на лету, но, к счастью, я прошел, типо босса, с 1 раза ибо уже адаптировался в игре, хотя было сложно и всегда приходится во время игры, думать в быстром формате(не только на последнем, но и на всех уровнях). Как я понял, боты еще реагируют на английские письменна сделанные самим игроком и отвечают на них, иногда уместно. Короче говоря, игра классная с учетом того, что я не особый любитель ураганных шутеров, сервера рабочие, я в некоторые из них заходил и играл с остальными игроками, только пинг у меня всегда скакал, но это проблема с моим интернетом. (Ценна в 1099 рублей - очень много особенно для такой старой, но отлично играбельной игры даже для Gold версии, без русского языка)

If you have to ask, you'll never know...

What can I say? It's Quake 3. It had to pick up all the baggage accumulated by its two superb and well-loved predecessors, and that with a pure and undiluted focus on the intense fast-action multiplayer aspects for which Id had become known. I don't know anyone who thinks that Quake 3 failed to live up to or perhaps exceed the tremendous hype and expectations preceding its release. There are probably people who think that, but I don't know them. If you haven't played Q3A and you have even a modicum of interest in multiplayer entertainment, stop reading and make this purchase. As others have pointed out, the current price ($14.99 regular price at the present time) is not reasonable for a digital copy of a decades-old classic. No biggie, wait for a sale. Though either way, if you play it as much as some of us have, you'll be paying pennies per hour of entertainment.

a great old timer deathmatch!

my dad is not a gamer anymore and has not been sense i was atleast 2 years old. but this was one of my favorite games as a kid! i watched my dad play this and unreal sitting on his lap at the desk in them times which i barley remember. but. the sounds and being able to shoot and blow up players into peices is satisfying and fun! the other quake games i really do not care about as much as i do about this one! even the latest quake game! which the nostalgia with this game when i play it goes through the roof with me! imo. no other deathmatch game or the newest ones makes up to this game which is a few decades old! a short tragic story i ended up falling and hitting my head on my dads chair and my forhead was bleeding and had to be taken into the hospital which now left me a V shape scar on the front of my forhead.
