TAKE MY MONEY!!!

This is (almost) like Ace Combat. The almost being nitpicking (I can't expect a 3-persons team to add cutscenes, or have the GUI polished to the max). But everything about the flight and combat itself... Wow... WOW. The dogfight is top-notch. The bosses (e.g. air cruisers) are awesome (even if none came to the size and awesomeness of some from AC5). The missile alert is SPOT ON: Once you figured what it shows, you'll have a very good idea from where the 3 missiles dogging you are coming from. I've only played the campaign right now, and it is quite pleasing, even if the dogfight means I'm missing some of the comments from my squadron. They have the same environmental comms where you hear comms from the enemy. Anyway, I don't know if the devs are working on a Project Wingman 2, but I'm already willing to pay for it. Now, I may need to take a break, because I've spent the last evening and this morning on it, and I need to calm down the excitation of being in the middle of 20 vs. 20 planes dogfight while being mowed down by freaking railguns. Mandatory nitpicking for Project Wingman 2: I'd like to customize by plane (e.g. colors, or even colors of my plane's or missiles' trails). Also, I'd like to be able to give commands to my squadron (as in AC5).

Who need Ace Combat?

Beautiful Terran/Aircraft modeling, emotional-grasping story line, hot crazy air-combat, heroic mastero background music. 99% perfection. I don't know what else I can ask for. oh, maybe more missions and more airplanes?

Very good title with our without VR

For VR: Works great on Oculus Quest if you launch it with the VR option in the "More" menu in GoG Galaxy or using the -VR option after the .EXE in a shortcut I have tried this with both an XBox One controller and a Thrustmaster HOTAS. It works well with both. The HOTAS was more enjoyable but there is no good way I have found to navigate the menus without using both the mouse and the keyboard. With "Arcade Mode" turned off, the combat is just the right amount of arcade. The flying is not terribly realistic, but you can stall. Three axes of flight control are possible. The aircraft models are not as cool as those in Ace Combat 7 but the gameplay is far better, in my opinion. All in all, a great game to play for a while and then put down. Almost no learning curve is needed unless you're trying to set up a HOTAS system.

I have bought this game twice.

And I will buy it a 3rd time when they release the A-10 DLC. This is an amazing game for any Ace Combat fan. It takes clear inspiration from that franchise while still doing enough of its own thing to set itself apart as it's own unique experience. I originally bought the game on the Xbox after playing it on Game Pass. I was disappointed with its buggy state when it first arrived on Xbox, so I told myself I'd buy it once the bugs were ironed out, and I did. Fast forward to now, I have a PC that can run PWM and I decided to buy it here as well, really just to have it on PC, but I'm happy to support Sector D2 in their efforts as well. Here's to the prospects of a Project Wingman franchise in the future. (with 100% more A-10 plz.)

Pure fun

Just finished campaign and I loved it. Missions are righ length for casual gamers like me. Great voice acting during briefiengs and even better radio transmissions during missions. Just right balance between arcade and realism to let you immerse in the game without making it difficult. Great graphics, especially clouds and terrain. For the aircrafts and weapons - more variety would be nice - I ended up with using buying most expensive fighter I could afford and fitting it always with the same weapons regardles of mission. But that's minor issue, as game delivers lots of fun and that's what matters. You need a controller to fully enjoy the game, I had cheap copy of Xbox controller and it worked great.
