Build your settlement on the newly discovered continent of Northgard! Assign your Vikings to various jobs and manage your resources carefully to survive harsh winters and ferocious foes. Expand your clan strategically by chasing conquest, fame, lore or trade victory. 
Survive and conquer the unforgiving wilderness of Northgard by mastering the unique attributes of the many different clans that inhabit the continent! Each clan has its own unique specificities, bonuses and features, introducing new ways of playing and methods to achieve victory. 
Conquest mode.
Choose your clan and fight through a number of unique scenarios and situations! Northgard Conquest is a standalone game mode that can be played solo or co-op, with a succession of various challenges offering a gaming expansion of 100 hours. 
Multiplayer mode.
Play in multiplayer with or against your friends in various game modes! Pick the lobby you want and face off against other players to experience a unique level of challenges. If you’re a veteran at the game, test your might in ranked lobbies to prove you’re the real king of Northgard! 
Story mode.
The Viking High King is murdered and his Regal Horn is stolen by a man named Hagen. This event kickstarts a saga that will take Rig, his son and heir accompanied by his right-hand man Brand through the new continent of Northgard to discover the reasons behind his father’s assassination.

A mix of Warcraft 3 and a Board Game
It's a very well thought-out RTS. Gameplay is polished and very good at what it is. However, beware that this game will not suit a player who is expecting a traditional RTS experience. This game plays like an Warcraft 3 style RTS mixed with a city builder and a board game and this blend of genres comes with its pros and cons. I haven't played any other game that felt like this and because of that I needed a lot of time to get used to it. Playing through ~2-3 campaign missions is a MUST to learn how to play properly. Otherwise You will be spending a lot of time trying and failing to grasp all the different mechanics that this game just keeps throwing at you in a single match. Also - because of its board-game-esque gameplay, a single match takes ~2 hours on average to finish. 1v1 may last an hour or so, but do not expect to crank out 2 matches in an hour - that's impossible even when You play through campaign and a bunch of skirmish matches. Despite the fact that I come from traditional RTS and Tactical RTS genre and this game is a bit slow for me, I play it a lot lately. Highly recommended. You won't find a similar experience anywhere.

Great game, but not 5 star
Conquest mode is my favorite because of the passive bonuses you get. The problem is that sometimes the final battle is so unsatisfying. It's randomly selected so it sometimes gives a completely stupid battle that doesn't let you really make use of the passives. I also wish I could pick passives for fun in a by myself game custom game. I'd be fine with not getting achievements. That way I could remake my own glorious finish to a conquest with all the passives I did earn. It can just be really unsatisfying. Also, sometimes they will patch things without warning that are actually large changes to gameplay.

Fun fun to play
The game is simple and fun, the only odd thing is when your village is oversized, the engine has problems handling the game (stuttering).

Great Game
Really good old school RTS. Plays pretty slow compared to alot of RTS games, which i like.
