Laggy, but still charming
At large do I agree with a lot of the other reviews here; that the game is great, but not the port. Even if the slowdowns are part of how the game would have run on original hardware, would I still have liked the option to run the game lag free.

Fun Game worth the money
The game is fun to play, runs well and fast. have not had any issues with it, game moves well and my game pads work with it. in a nut shell the game is really fun to play over and over and over again. Did not give it 5 stars because 5 stars is for Crazy Fun 100% nothing super fun games. that don't have anything wrong with it. This port does lag once on while, but it is still a great game that is fun to play. over and over again. Will be buying the other metal slug games.

Great game, port not great!
Aways loved Metal Slug series, but the port is not that good, its playable, but be aware that fps drops from time to time.

Metal Slug Linux
Oh, how the 1990s arcade scene was glorious! Capcom, Konami, and SNK were slugging it out for out quarters. Capcom kept most of the name brand recognition. Konami held fort on consoles. SNK cranked out fighters and shooters in the arcades like gun fights in a John Woo flick! Among SNK's line up of shooters we got the Metal Slug series. The arcades in my local pool hall had a couple of those multi-game Neo Geo cabinets in them. Fatal Fury Special and Samurai Shodown ate up most folks' quarters, but Metal Slug was still a stand out. Gameplay akin to Konami's Contra, a gritty yet humorous graphics style, varying weapon pickups, Super Tank vehicles, and screen swallowing boss fights gave Metal Slug an identity all its own. Having Metal Slug on PC with Linux support is a must-buy!

Замечательный оригинал и ужасное издание
Играл на многих платформах, но настолько ужасного и нестабильного порта не видел никогда. FPS проседает жутко на хорошем железе, настройки графики не спасают, управление такое же дерганое. С болью прошел по старой памяти кампанию, и понимаю что таким релизом классику попросту опозорили. Советую лучше поиграть на эмуляторе. Рефанд не оформляю из уважения к разработчикам и GOG, но так с классикой обращаться попросту нельзя. P.S. Мои лучи ненависти DotEmu.
