I'm buying this game

Hope it works with windows 10... If it don't I don't care. I used to play this constantly with my friends back in the day and still this game set the standard for what we have today... i'm buying this game whether it works on my modern rig or not . i see people give bad reviews because of outdated drivers or modern operating system problems. Buy a potato play this game and have just as much fun or maybe more than anything out today. way better than the console versions. like modded servers for freeze tag omg so much fun i had with this game. just a classic that younger players should play. just like the goonies or back to the future movies that still today is known and popular with younger generation.

Fun, but be preapred for annoyances

I love the MoH series (Frontline and Airborne being the top two, in my opinion), and I made my way through Allied Assault, Spearhead, and Breakthrough. I was surprised at how much fun a 15 year-old FPS can be--mowing down Nazis never gets old, I suppose. But the game doesn't mask its age well: you will run into some annoying conventions that have all but disappeared from modern shooters. Infrequent checkpoints (you had better quicksave often), annoying deaths (such as getting clipped by a slow-moving object), and some infuriating objectives that require many reloads to accomplish will frustrate you. I also ran into some compatibility problems. Sometimes the game would crash over and over at the same spot, so I had to run it in Safe Mode (which fortunately the game recommends when it notes it has crashed previously). Overall a nice blast from the past, but unless you've played these games before (old FPS games in general), you'll be in for a few hiccups that mar an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Classic WW2 Series that Started It All

I had so many fond memories playing multiplayer Spearhead on this game. So much fun. + solid cinematic singleplayer campaign + GREAT soundtrack + smooth gameplay

Great game, Windows 10 glitch

Loved the game(s)!!! Didn't play this game when it came out, but getting to enjoy it now. However, and this is what the lack of a star is for, the expansion packs didn't work out of the box (Windows 10 all updates, late 2017) After doing some googling, I found that simply renaming the expansion pack executables (moh_breakthrough.exe and moh_spearhead.exe) to MOHAA.exe allowed them to play. The inital EA video would be very slow so it took about 2 - 3 minutes for the game to start, but then they worked for the most part (some of the cut scenes were glitchy). If the fix is that simple, it seems like it's something GOG could have fixed in their release, but I love what GOG does so I'm not going to beat them up a whole lot. Just hope this review helps someone else if they run into the same problem

Classic

After 16 years I finally beat this game. And for good measure I beat the expansions that come in this package too. It's still worth playing just to see how much the genre has evolved. The AI aim is very cheap, so you should quicksave often. Although quicksaving breaks the flow of the game and takes away some of the feeling of heroism, it prevents a lot of frustration. Specially in areas with tall grass and leafy trees: you can't see any enemies, but all the enemies can see you. And they will instantly hit you from a mile away. It has a good mix of corridor shooting, open areas, some great cinematic battles, a few really basic stealth parts and some on-rails gunning. Still fun after all this years, and will run smoothly in any toaster.
