The Legend of Kyrandia (Book One)

I used to like point and click adventures. At least some of them. But There were some that I genuiney loathed. And this game draws from both kinds. The good - pleasing aesthetics, nice simple interface, decent but not too original story. Even the dark caves added some nice touch and got me back to the times of pen and paper drawing a map. The bad - some completely trial-and-error puzzles with no justification. And some moments where you needed to do (or do not) something and if you found yourself in a particular spot with or without an item having or not having done something earlier... well, you were in deep manure and had to start over. So while I enjoyed the game at the beginning and got about 3/4 of it judging by the walkthrough I consulted later, I gave it up frustrated. If you manage to get it discounted - it's a nice opportunity to see what point and click adventures were about. With its full glory as well as full annoyance.

I first played this game when I was 3 or 4 years old, around 96. It was one of the very first games I have ever played, and this is the game that sparked my love and passion for video games. Even after 30 years, I still love to replay it from time to time, because it's absolutely brilliant. It has beautiful graphics, sassy and witty banter, and my favourite part has always been to throw away the guide and play this game the old-school way, with a pen and paper! I drew all the maps, solved all the puzzles on paper, and I still love it just as much as when I was little. 1000/10. Please buy it and play it, you won't regret it.

Massive moon logic, lots of useless items and inventory management. Rng and copy paste rng backgrounds and more mazes then a corn field. Charming graphics but really obtuse point and click game.

This game is short, you can manage to finish it in one afternoon. The graphics are a marvel for the time and the humour is fantastic.

remember playing this when I was a kid - still fun :)
