Сюжет
Лежащая в сердце Европы Богемия славится своими культурными традициями, запасами серебра и множеством замков. После смерти любимого правителя, императора Карла IV, для королевства наступили темные времена: война, коррупция и внутренние противоречия разрывают на части эту жемчужину Священной Римской империи.
Корону унаследовал один из сыновей Карла, Вацлав. В отличие от отца, Вацлав – наивный, потакающий своим желаниям и нечестолюбивый монарх. Его сводный брат — король Венгрии Сигизмунд Рыжий Лис — чувствует слабость своего родича. Под видом акта доброй воли Сигизмунд отправляется в Богемию и похищает сводного брата. Без короля на престоле Сигизмунд волен разграбить Богемию и захватить все ее богатства.
Вы — Индро, сын простого кузнеца — оказались в центре этого хаоса. Вашей мирной жизни приходит конец, когда отряд наемников по приказу короля Сигизмунда сжигает вашу деревню дотла. По велению злодейки-судьбы вы выживаете в этой резне.
Без дома, семьи и будущего вы попадаете на службу к лорду Радцигу Кобыле, который собирает силы, чтобы дать отпор захватчикам. Судьба втягивает вас в этот кровавый конфликт и забрасывает в пекло гражданской войны, где вы помогаете бороться за будущее Богемии.

The game has all the necessary elements to draw you in for hundreds of hours. You simply fall out of real life.
1. A strong historical foundation. A deep and well-developed plot.
2. A beautiful game world, high-quality graphics, and animations.
3. A realistic fencing system - the best in computer games.
4. Lively and soulful music. You'll fall in love with this soundtrack.
5. A well-thought-out combat system. At the very beginning of the game, the main character is a good-for-nothing villager. But gradually, our hero develops, and by the middle of the game, he will be able to stand up for himself. No, he won't become a terminator - the game has a very good and realistic balance. You will become much better, but you won't turn into a terminator.
6. Huge freedom of action and possibilities. It's like GTA in the medieval times!
If you are looking for a mindless game to play then this isnt it. This game requires a lot of patience to learn everything. If you have patience then this is the game for you. If not, go back to Warzone and deal with hackers.

Any RPG lover, historical game enthusiast, Deep Silver fanboy, or just anyone who loves games with a deep progression system in an engrossing and beautiful game world complete with a tale of intrigue and tragedy, then this is the game for you.
The opening act starts slow, but it really is useful to the newfa-ermm....new players, unfamiliar to combat system in the same vein as Deep Silver's Gothic or Risen, a fairly complex martial system but a very rewarding one that requires timing and forethought instead of button mashing will tanking any damage coming your way. This type of play will get you killed and frustrate you immensely; so take your time and dance around your foe, feint attacks and probe for his weakness, and if hes a powerhouse or you need a mace instead of a sword to damage his plate armor, don't be afraid to disengage and rethink your attack strategy.
This game contains one of the most engrossing and detailed worlds ever put forth to screen, and the fact that they accomplished this using real historical events as a settings makes the feat even more impressive, especially for such a small(but extremely talented) group of game developers.
The only problem I and some others are having is the bugs. This is somewhat expected from a small dev team who pushed the game out to meet deadlines when it was obvious to everyone that it needed another month in the oven. But that being said, the patch they already put out fixed alot of my problems i was having, and like New Vegas I feel like once a few more patches come through, this will be the gold standard for RPGS in the years to come.

After seeing a preview of this game 2 years ago, I knew I had to buy it when it was released. I've not been able to stop playing it since it came out- this game is literally keeping me up at night!
One of the best aspects of the game is the combat. Unlike many other games, the fighting has a much more 'real time' base to it. Rather than a 'slash and you're dead' system, this games makes you take the time to learn all the necessary fighting skills, including sword, unarmed, mace and others. You also need to learn other skills, such as riding, hunting/archery, lockpicking etc.
The lore and feel of the game is incredible. Because the game is set according to actual history, the different time brings a somewhat calmer, yet also tense feeling to the story. Having a glimpse into the way we used to live and conduct ourselves is very interesting, and every item is genuine of the time. I love being able to explore the beautiful scenery, being able to hunt and play through a variety of quests.
Graphically, this game is stunning and the soundtrack is beautiful. The armour set from the pre-order DLC is the best in the game, and is so much fun to find!
The game centres on a young man named Henry, who watches his parents get viciously murdered and his town razed. Hellbent on revenge, the story begins- and what a story it is! Gripping, intriguing and suspenseful, it sucks you in from the first minute. From there, you have the ability to fashion Henry to your liking- create a knight, a criminal, a monk... the choice is up to you to decide on his strengths and weaknesses. Do you want him to have brute strength and agility or be a charismatic smooth talker? The choice is up to you.
As with any new game, there are more bugs than an ant colony, but if you can overlook these and wait for patches, then you are in for a brilliant ride. Well worth every dollar spent and every sleepless night!
Great game. It surely is an rpg. The combat system is a bit hard to get used to but it is a nice change coming from playing fallout and elder scrolls.
Beautiful world, add reshade framework and its even better.
Good on GOG for bringing such a game.
