Very fun and simple action puzzle title

I'll say this right now if you like any of the 2D Zelda games and/or Binding of Isaac you will like this game alot straight off the bat. If you're a fan of the genre then you will like this, and if you don't like the genre you will still like this. This game is simple at its core but expands upon that simplicity the more you play the game and adds depths of challenges all while making the gun fun and addicting to play. The only people I can't see enjoying this are "hardcore" gamers.

Great game, but only lasts about 3 hours

This game is very much like Link's Awakening, if you lightened up the combat and focused heavily on sliding block puzzles. If you dread the sliding block puzzles in Zelda games, turn back now, because that's 90% of what you'll be doing in this game. That said, the puzzle designs are actually pretty clever. It can be quite challenging, especially if you are trying to do puzzles the hard way (most puzzles don't require your full set of equipment to solve, but you can come back when you've found more tools to make it easier). Personally, I think the art style of the game is quite charming. It's quite surreal, but also cute, with things like flying moai heads, purple-faced women in animal pajamas, and old men made of straw. The dialogue and story aren't deep, but they're amusing if you like a bit of weird humor. Ultimately, I would have given this game five stars if it only had more of everything. It is one of the shortest video games I've played. I managed to nearly 100% it in 3 hours. While that's absurdly short, I can't say I regret buying it at a discounted price.

Too much for not enough.

Great game with beutiful graphics but this is way to expensive for so little gameplay. Actual play time is 2 to 6 hrs.

A worthy use of 3 hours

Short, but very sweet. The art style is very catchy and cute, and what dialogue there is ends up being pretty funny in a tongue-and-cheek manner. The level design is very cool, too - if you end up beating your head against puzzle for too long then check the map to see if there's another way around to the area you're trying to get to, there probably is!

De-emphasized Combat, Emphasized Puzzles

Supports controllers, but you have to plug it in before you launch the game. GOG Galaxy won't record anything, unless you launch it from the GOG Galaxy client. I'm not sure the game tracks achievements at all in this version. How much enjoyment this game offers is dependent on why you like (2D) Zelda games. If you are looking for the feeling of being powerful, this game is not going to be fulfilling. If you enjoy being given a system and figuring out puzzles in that system, perhaps trying over and over again, this game is right up your alley. The design goal of this game is to stump you long enough on puzzles to feel like you got your money's worth. There are very few combat maneuvers to perform, even after acquiring all the items. Don't expect the combat to "open up" later on, because "later" is very close to the end anyway, and all you can do is do optional puzzles, or keep moving on. Exploration didn't feel rewarding to me, because there wasn't a big map, and the reward consists entirely of more puzzles. I personally found the puzzles difficult, or, at least I remained stumped on most of them until the end of the game and never went back. A little tip: if you are SUPER STUMPED, it is likely an optional puzzle. To give you an idea of how much "game" there is, it would likely take you longer to beat Zelda '85 with a strategy guide than to get to the credits of Ittle Dew from the title screen. My total game time is about 7.5 hours, and that includes restroom breaks. If you aren't looking for a cute Zelda game, this game isn't a necessity.
