awsome game, nothiing out there comes close to this one, 1 thing tho, with the newer drivers out there, using A Nvid gt9500 video card, the colours are messed up and extremely poor graphic glitches, still looking int ohow to fix on my system, but still awsome game

Upgrade games to run on Win 7
One of my original PC game favorites back in the day. Was great seeing it on GOG and getting another chance to play it. After I upgraded to win 7 the graphics of the game are all smeared vga now. I hope it gets 'refurbished' for Win 7.

Auto Combat was never this Funky.
Note: This review is based off my playing this game when it was new back in the day. Imagine a world where the Energy Crisis of the 70s actually got worse and the entire American southwest turned into dry desert hell broth of souped up cars, large bore weapons and car chases. This is the world of Interstate 76, the best damn car combat simulation that I have ever seen and will likely never see again. I will say, however, that a full joystick is recommended here, because as an added bonus you can shoot the driver of an enemy car and take their wheels in the story mode. The best part of it, however, is the soundtrack. It's not done by any band you know, but somehow they managed to incorporate everything musical about the 70s in it, and it's worth owning by itself.

I have literally waited 13 years to play this game since we stopped using a windows 99, this game brings back alot of great memories and whoever re-released this is the most awesome person in the planet

A car combat simulation indeed.
I76: Singleplayer Campaign: Anything over Wimp is a definite challenge, and the learning curve is erratic, but the core gameplay mechanics are still solid after all of these years. Just make sure to have a spare everything, and stick with more "reliable" weapons like the 50cal MG. Singleplayer Instant Action: Fun, if you set it up correctly. Boring, if you don't. Keep in mind that the Helicopter cheat takes all the fun out of the game, and that the Tank's horrible top speed does not justify its amount of armor. Multiplayer: Never played against a skilled opponent, but there's much fun to be had. Too bad racing rules weren't implemented until the Nitro Pack. Nitro Pack: Somewhat of an expansion pack, the Nitro Pack takes things in a much less linear direction, specifically in that the singleplayer is a set of Instant Action missions with pass/fail indicators. Passing all available ones unlocks a "secret" campaign. Multiplayer is still fun, but adds a few more gamemodes and maps.
