HROT

Where on this planet one could have seen masked horses murdering people, now or in 1986, I can't say. Closest I ever came to that was getting stepped on by a horse--about the same time, come to think of it. Then there's HROT. I come out of a bunker and think "ok, lots of people have shown up and I have to fight them HOLY CRAP THAT HORSE WANTS TO KILL ME!" I could have focused on other aspects of gameplay, but other people have assessed the game well. So far in my reading, however, nobody appears to have remarked on the presence of murder horses. I felt this needed some attention.

Yea this game is very similar to the original Quake but with a bit more added humor. Very fun and great level design, great music and overall atmosphere. The only things I think could use improvement are the lack of movement variety and sometimes there are a bit too many locked in arena sections after another. Other than that it was a breath of fresh air and a good laugh here and there. Awesome game!

It's a fun shooter with a pronounced eastern european twist. Definitely recommend.

I've had a hankering for some old-school shooters and have played all the big names over the last year for the first time: Doom 1 and 2, Quake, Dark Forces, Half-Life, etc. as well as modern titles like the New Blood games. Honestly, this has been the most enjoyable by a good margin. The level designs are so clean (even though the aesthetics are dirty), each chapter is distinct, and it doesn't take itself seriously with pretty ridiculous bosses and obstacles. Highly recommend for anyone itching for some great 90s-style shooting!
