An amazing retro shooter with a great sense of humor

This game doesn't have any 'dressings' like a Dusk, Amid Evil, Turbo Overkill or other FPS throwbacks. By dressings I mean buff items (i.e. Quad Damage), 'soul' collection for special attacks, upgrades or any of those things. If you can go without those things, give this game five stars. What you're getting is a shooter with near-perfect movement and level design. Levels aren't overlong and puzzles don't overstay their welcome. Enemies are exactly in the right places. Bosses are sometimes telegraphed but they still can make you shit your pants if you're not paying attention. Some levels throw curveballs at you and you need to work without your trusted gear, but it never feels unfair or gratuitious. What this game does well it does very well. Finally, this is the funniest game I've played in years. I love lampooning of the USSR and if you appreciate it too, you'll be tongue-in-cheeked amused throughout the game or even laugh your ass off. The dark color pallette and ambient nightmare music makes it funny and creepy at the right intervals. The final boss is a bit on the nose but even that's worth a chuckle. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is, like I said at the beginning, it doesn't have that extra 'oomph factor' a lot of these FPS throwbacks have these days. If that doesn't bother you (and it didn't bother me), give it 5 stars and enjoy this awesome game. Na zdravi!

Perfect in every way. Constantly manages to throw in new surprises and you'll definitely want to go back and find all the secrets for multiple playthroughs. Not as short as I was lead to believe - and that's a good thing. LOVE IT

This was my first "retro boomer shooter" that I liked. I couldn't get into Boltgun, but this game was amazing. Combat and movement feel great, you can feel the impact of the guns (although SMG is lacking in that department). This game also has great atmosphere, especially if you are interested in communist block history or like those kind of vibes. Locations in the game are actually based on real Czechoslovakian buildings etc. 10/10 game for me, can't wait for another game from this studio.

A simple FPS set in the socialist era behind the Iron Curtain, specifically in Czechoslovakia, where everything was either brown or grey. The game is packed with hidden jokes and Easter eggs from that time—little details that can truly be appreciated only by those who remember. I do remember, and I had a great time playing. The only downside for me was the lack of more weapons. I also saw the potential for a deeper background story and more varied missions. But at the end of the day, it’s an action-packed shooter in the style of Duke Nukem or Quake, and in that regard, it does the job perfectly.
