Just one more day...
This review is written for the IN DEV version. (also my first review but I really liked this game so far) Here's what the game is: You own a tavern. You have these people who are different RPG style classes (assassin, survivalist, fire mage, etc...) come sit in your tavern. During the day, you're clicking away serving drinks and food. It really does make a difference what you do so this isn't just some farm-style click fest. During this time, you talk to these characters and you can choose to let them join you. After your tavern closes, you can then set them out on quests. The characters you choose to go on these quests really do make a difference on success and failure. If they level up on return, you can even select which attributes each of the characters can level up in. So, for example, you can level your barbarian's weapon skills, or his endurance, etc... There's a few points assigned and there seems to be a system that determines the amount based on the class. Truely a nice touch! Why do this? Well that brings you back to the first part. By winning these quests, you get some type of reward. Sometimes it's a new addition or service for your tavern! Sometimes it's loot for the heros or it could even be a perk that makes something in your tavern work better (such as faster healing). All that sounds great, and it is. But I must confess that there are times where it feel like there is a little repetition. There's a lot of text to read while you're playing. Mostly this is in the form of characters speaking to you or points along the way when your characters are going along their quests. This really isn't a minus in my book though. The stories add character. My TL;DR summary: Casual game that you can't stop playing where your strategy matters and so far, there appears to be a wealth of replaibilty with a solid ground of RPG elements.
