Disciples 2 Gold

Game is fantastic. Don't get me wrong, but when it actually works. Bought it in promise to actually experience it in Polish translation (just like the old days) but instead what I got were two games from which, first one doesn't even work. Tried every possible advice available on GOG and it still doesn't even open. Second game, Rise of the elves thankfully works but it does come only in English. Tried downloading and installing it in all available ways. Nope. Some could say that I could get it work or download translations from other source. Sorry I didn't pay for the game to waste more time to actually do GOG's job. Anyway, if the game works for you then add 4 stars to the rating.

I had no interest in this game. I only bought it to check if it's playable or not on modern systems, because many reviews said both on gog and steam that it's not. They were all right. Not playable at all.

i love the game, unfortunately cannot find patch for gold edition, all patches I found were incompatible

It's a turn based tactical RPG set in a fairly generic fantasy universe. This game series seems to get a lot of love on here and from other classic gamers but I'm not sure why. Maybe I just don't understand the nostalgia but there's really not much there in terms of story or setting, and the game doesn't tell you what you need to do in-game, which, maybe it's my fault for coming at this from a modern perspective, but I don't want to read a 90 page manual to understand how to play the game. I'm not rating this lower, because I fully understand that this just isn't my cup of tea and it'll likely appeal to other types of gamers, but that's just my two cents.
