Really fun, well balanced game

There is something about this game that makes it really satisfying to play. Maybe it's the beautiful animations or maybe it's the difficulty level that is just right (not to hard, not too easy), or maybe it's the variety it gives by combining elements of rougelike and metroidvania genres. I don't know what it is exactly, but it certainly works. I beat the game a few years back and now I'm playing it again and it still provides me with tons of fun. Highly reccomended!

Melody of the Evening

This is a pretty solid Platventure that's very similar to Symphony of the Night. Like VERY similar, even down to a lot of stylistic elements, such as trails when the main character moves, the way the sword swipes look, and a save icon that changes with each session. Granted, the main character isn't as... tantalizing as Alucard, but let's face it: he was never going to be. It's not a total ripoff, though; there is some light town building that comes with rescuing the people and finishing their side quests that's pretty neat. It's also apparently randomly generated, but it doesn't have permadeath or anything frustrating like that. It's on the easy side, too; I didn't die once, and only really used healing items on the final boss. The final stretch can be a bit annoying, since there are almost no save points or fast travel caves, but otherwise, it's pretty solid. Not mind-blowing, but solid. If you liked Symphony of the Night, you'll probably like this, too.

Good Little Metroidvania

Simple but does its job. It's basic, it dosent have any peculiar gameplay mechanic but it's solid. It have a main quest and a little side consisting in finding some NPCS around the map. Its a metroidvania so there is some backtracking but there are teleports arounds that make it manageable most of the time. Maybe a little more content and stuff to do around the map would have helped with this part. It have a challenge mode to compete with other players with a scoreboard. The procedurally generated stuff dosent add much to the game. Dont imagine a new game if you decide to play it a second time. The story is a bit bland but to be honest i wasnt expecting much by the game description in the shop

Good game!

Easy to like and enjoy. Excellent for casual gamers. Controller response is perfect, difficulty settings are spot on. Just plain old-school type fun :)

Fun!

Fun game!!! I enjoyed every minute of it. good metroidvania for the collection. Unfortunately it doesnt have replayability. After i beat the game i uninstalled it because there was nothing else to do.
