НОВЫЙ ВЗГЛЯД НА БОИ ОТ 3-го ЛИЦА
Боевая система, основанная на боевых искусствах, гарантирует тебе уникальную свободу движения, и возможность комбинировать приемы дальнего и ближнего боя и особые способности твоих мутаций. Изучай новые приемы вун-фу, развивай персонажа и проходи обучение у встреченных мастеров, чтобы разнообразить свой боевой стиль. Мы уверены, бои еще долго тебе не наскучат.
ИГРА ЭВОЛЮЦИОНИРУЕТ ВМЕСТЕ С ТОБОЙ
Меняй геном своего персонажа, а вместе с ним и весь стиль игры. Направленные мутации будут влиять на твои параметры, а воздействие биологически активных зон в открытом мире наделит особыми способностями, такими как «Обличье черепахи» или «Пузырь слизи». А если твой персонаж подвергнется радиоактивному облучению в бункерах, оставшихся от старого мира, он сможет открыть новые возможности своего разума, так называемые пси-силы: телекинез, левитацию и т.д.
РЕМЕСЛА ВЫХОДЯТ НА НОВЫЙ УРОВЕНЬ
Дай волю фантазии, создавая оружие. Комбинируй элементы и создавай уникальное одноручное и двуручное, дробящее или режущее оружие. Оснащай револьверы, дробовики или винтовки дополнительными модификациями, вроде штопора или бензопилы на аккумуляторном ходу. И не забудь добавить в свой арсенал контейнеры с биоактивной жижей. Встреченные персонажи будут рады создать для тебя различные прикольные гаджеты – бионические крылья или реактивный ранец. Другие помогут модифицировать твой автоматон всем что найдется по пути!
ЛУЧШЕЕ СНАРЯЖЕНИЕ ДЛЯ ПРИКЛЮЧЕНИЙ
Выбирай любую экипировку, и речь не только об оружии. Для исследования Мертвозон тебе понадобятся противогаз и баллон с кислородом, в зонах аномального холода пригодится термокостюм, а в биозараженных зонах без защитной экипировки вообще шагу невозможно ступить. Подбирай снаряжение под любой вид активности – выбор практически безграничен.
БОРЬБА ЗА ВЫЖИВАНИЕ В ОТКРЫТОМ МИРЕ
Огромный мир только и ждет, когда ты начнешь его исследовать – равнины, высоты и глубины, по которым можно передвигаться пешком или верхом на машинах, планерах или даже воздушных шарах. Изучай гиблые пустоши, сети подземных тоннелей, поднимайся на горы и причаливай к берегам таинственных архипелагов. Совершай открытия, разгадывай тайны, сражайся с разнообразными существами и заводи новых друзей в этом причудливом, ярком мире.
УНИКАЛЬНАЯ ИСТОРИЯ С НЕОБЫЧНОЙ РАЗВЯЗКОЙ
Новый мир балансирует на краю пропасти, и его судьба зависит от твоих действий. Жуткая чума опустошает земли, и Древо Жизни гибнет на глазах. Племена разобщены, и кто-то должен сплотить их во имя общей идеи или же подчинить собственной воле...
Рассказчик будет направлять тебя, но будущее мира в любом случае зависит только от тебя; от твоих действий и твоего выбора.
Think if Ninja Gaiden had a furry kid brother who was into manga from like the 50s. You would think it was easy from the laid back atmosphere, cheesey grandfatherly storybook narator, and the "BAM! THACK! POW!" annotations and assorted commentary but it can in fact get quite hard. You can get swarmed, face mobs nearly 10x or 20x your size and the move combos can get quite intricate. In short this is a furry action game with a comic book slice of life feel to it with heavy doses of Japanese themed lore and assorted goofiness. If you like hitting and shooting at stuff and don't take things too seriously you'll probably have fun playing this.
This game has some ups and downs. The art design and direction are the obvious strengths. The world and its characters look unique and cool and make you want to explore. The idea of playing as a radioactive psychic raccoon wielding a baseball bat katana is definitely alluring.
The world, though, is very empty and there is very little to actually do in the "safe" zones other than get from point A to B. If, say, you wanted to test out your new weapon mods, you will have to wander around for a while to find even basic enemies to fight. There's a few shops, shrines, villages, and points of interest, but they are almost all identical to each other. The danger zones by contrast are pretty fun to explore but you have to invest a lot into resistances before you can even go into them.
The plot is almost nonsensical based on how it is presented to me in the game. I will just be wandering around in the grass and then suddenly be given a quest to, like, "Attack the fort", with zero context or explanation of what that is or why I would want to do it. There are a lot of interjecting cutscenes like flashback sequences or shots of enemy tribe leaders swearing revenge on me or whatever. Once, these cutscenes glitched out and I had two of them playing at the same time. Everyone in the world has known me since childhood and is watching my every move, apparently. Dudes in a house are levitating with no explanation. Nothing makes sense.
Combat is kind of OK but the movements can feel really janky - mostly the slow motion effect is overused to the point that it becomes disorienting. There is very little weight to my attacks, or even nice audio feedback or anything, so stronger weapons feel like they do nothing but just wear down bullet sponges a little faster.
One more thing - menus get very complicated with upgrades, gear, stats, mods, etc. Very easy to get lost and it takes hours to understand it. Also, LIGHT BLUE TEXT ON BLUE BACKGROUND (resistance % stats) - who approved that?!?!
This is a very attractive looking game with great visuals and a large world to explore with conflicts and discoveries to be found. However, it soon becomes repetitive and while the environments and monsters change, the battles and gameplay doesn't. The story too is lacking any real depth and inevitably, you just stop caring after a while. It isn't all bad though, there's still a lot to see and experience within the game, with a fair bit of customization for character attributes, weapons and armour etc.
Overall: Not bad, just not that great either.
I will admit this game has a lot of dialogue especially at the beginning but if you are willing to get through it the game is actually very good. The combat will actually make you feel like a badass if you take the time and learn to do the different combos. This game is something different and I really enjoy what they did with it.
This game caught my eye entirely because of the dazzling colour and light of the scenes I had perused among marketing screenshots. It's a post-apocalyptic world which appears to have benefitted from the demise of the previous apex species, and in their wake an innumerable collection of new species, and utterly unique mutants, have risen from the ashes.
If you can't stop taking the unserious too seriously you won't like this title, but if you can embrace your inner problem child it's a playground of creation, destruction and unhinged furry mayhem. The open world is like an 80s anime, filled with bright colours, wildly impractical everything, and ten tons of fun in every wushu squirrel.
"Wung Fu" that provides blade and gun action at speeds so frantic my partner is easily able to identify what I'm playing from two rooms away by the key clacking. Dodging, pouring gunfire from your handmade...thingys...only to roll in close and batter a foe to death with customized toilet plungers dangling with wrench heads and other assorted junk.
Yes...high speed plunger combos executed by a seemingly infinite potential range of custom mutants that get droopy ears in the rain.
Plot? Sorta, yeah, in the same sense the droopy eared plunger ninja is an identifiable species. Kill the bad narration and run through dreams of madness with only Gibberish heard spoken. Trust me.
The apocalypse never seemed so inviting, the protanist both pettable and lethal, and the very land beneath your pattering paws so vivid and unreal. Where Fallout is grity this game is clever and silly. Given the massive discount you can get on it these days, pick up the Mercenary Class DLC addition. You'll see why the minute you roll out with your low budget ninja movie costume and twin blades.
