A headache to configure, standard game

As said above you may experience drop of frames and desync of sound if you don't find the correct configuration for your computer, you may have to looks pages and forums for that. The gameplay is decent though there is no evolution in combat only in live upgrades, one charged attack your ship and the other machine you use. For ones you use the game currency founded everywhere for the second you have to collect "orbs". The game is short and the story is fast paced. Feels like half game was axed. The music is decent though you may hear one expecific one a little too much. There is charm in the main characters and a effort in the localization on different languages that can make you enjoy the good parts of the game. Overall it could have been better: a bad optimization and a rushed game feeling don't mix well.

Game is great but...

I was playing happily until one day i came to play and i suddenly lost the pig IN GAME with no explanation or crashes or anything. Now i cant solve puzzles nor continue the game without restarting everything. Play it somewhere else!!!

A very special game . .

I did not play this game until 2011. I played Beyond Good and Evil after finishing Portal 2 on the PS3. I'm not wrapped up in feelings of nostalgia about the game. This game has got a special charm that's so very hard to define. When I completed it, I thought to myself, this is one of the best games I've ever played. Since then, I've ploughed through some truly great games such as Demon's Souls, Skyrim, Dragon Age etc. So why do I still feel the same about this relatively short 10 year old game? You tell me. . . p.s. To all you guys out there who played this first time round - I'm happy to now know what all the fuss is about! ;-)

Boring stuff

Didn't play this game "back in the days". I was very enthusiastic about checking it out. Story didn't catch me at all. Fight and stealth mechanics are tedious, racing seems little better. I can appreciate game even if it is outdated - I had great time playing (for first time) original Tomb Raider 1 or Nox lately but this game is not for me

Buy it. Now. I'm not kidding!

Why? Ok, my judgement might be clouded by the fact that I'm a huge fan of this game, but trust me on this one, you want to play this game! The main thing that appealed to me, was how much the story played on your emotions. I really felt entwined with the characters, you messed with them, you messed with me. Also, the story isn't your basic "the princes gets captured" kinda story, it has depth, intriguing characters and things that aren't quite what they seem. Another thing that's great is the open world, and the beauty of it, I could just go for hours hovering around and in the city of Hillys just looking at everything and occasionally shooting a stranger(he, even hovering around gets boring sometimes). Off course I just enjoy open worlds(like in GTA, loved those), but the one in BGE is definitely the most beautiful I've seen. As for the controls on PC... Yeah, I admit, I do like the console controls better(I have an Xbox and a PC version), but I completed both without too much trouble. It never felt like a "cheap port" to me, and felt quite natural. I'm not much of a PC gamer anyway, so me completing this game on PC is a good sign! Off course, if you're into casual gaming without story, this is nothing for you. Then go play Halo or something. (no offence I own Halo 1 & 2, but it's nothing compared to BGE... great shooter though :P) Anyway, I'm drifting away from my point, which is: BUY THE FRIKKIN' GAME!!!
