I wish I could forget that I played this

So that I could play it all over again. This is the type of game you might have not picked up back when it came out. I would say if I would have to put it into a category... hmm imagine Rayman 3, but open world and I mean really open world! But, today, oh lord, today is the day you will buy this. If you have ever had a feeling that you wanted to give this a try, give it a try. In terms of today, I can't really explain where it lies. I was surprised how long the campaign was though you could technically play it all in one 24 hour sitting which I don't recommend. This game and its atmosphere is something I haven't felt in video games in a long time and I just wish there were new games that could suck you into a new world like that. Totally deserved a sequel but oh well it can stand perfectly on its own. Why are you still reading this, buy it!

Adventure Gaming Done Right

I don't know why I tried this game and I don't think I even fully understand why I completed it. What I do know is that it was one of my best gaming experiences from beginning to end. This is why I think it was so enjoyable: - The developers really embraced the medium. It's not just a collection of cut-scenes. It doesn't want to be a movie. The whole adventure is playable. Everything in the game is game-ified. - There are multiple types of game within this game and they're all fun. The fighting, driving, mini-games and exploring is all fun. - It's a linear story with an open world feel. This works really well. Because it's not truly open-world, the devs haven't had to spend hours grinding out content. They have focused on making the content that is there, pleasant and fun. You don't have to hunt for something great in the environment. The whole game is great. - There's an excellent photography sub-game within this game. It forces you to observe and connect with the world around you. It adds another level of depth to every part of the world you are in. It satisfies the common-human desire to "collect" (you collect pictures of all the things in a set... I'm trying not to give anything away). - The characters are very alive and interesting. This game may not look like something you would enjoy. I recommend you try it anyway.

Heartwarming

Beyond Good & Evil cannot handle modern hardware. It has a lot of technical issues that require tinkering with the game to fix, but you can find resources to help you with this. It's frustrating and you might not be able to enjoy the full experience, but it is still worth it. This game is unique, heartwarming, and endearing. It just makes you happy.

One of a kind.

I guess you’ve all heard how amazing game this was/is. Excellent voice actors and actresses. Captivating and breathtaking story with many tense moments and magnificent presentation. Fantastic and diverse gameplay, but not confusing controls! Unique way (as one of the ways) of making money with taking pictures of different animal species. Many memorable characters. Transportation and fights and races with a hovercraft! Also, you get to pilot a spaceship, not only to travel to space, but to fight as well! Clever environmental puzzles. And many humorous moments! All in all, an unforgettable experience brought to us by one the best female protagonists in the history of gaming. Can’t wait for the sequel!
