A few flaws, but very relaxing game

I really enjoyed this title in spite being my experience in this kind of genre. Bandle Tale is a crafting game where the story is focused on the player, who plays a Yordle (a LoL character race) who finished their apprenticeship in Yarnville, a floating island that is known for knitting and crafting. Being away from Bandle City for that long, you find yourself disconnected from the outside world, and has come to a decision to explore beyond the horizon, only to find the world has become disconnected, and lost after a party you've attended. Your mission is to use your crafting skills to restore Bandal City and reunite with lost friends with a sock companion, who kind of guides you throughout the game. I really like the fact that I carry a magical backpack that serves as my crafting stations, and also my humble home, and that the game can be saved anytime. There's also no bedtime curfews to the game, which made it very relaxing to play for me. Buying various decors to change the appearance/color of my backpack-house is also an adorable feature. There's quite a lot of gathering, fishing, traveling, and crafting (missions) involved. There's also a bit of cooking involved to host your own party and building friendships along the way. I'm grateful that I can use a controller to play. Unfortunately, some of the flaws I've encountered was the confusing tutorials, and how to get some materials crafted, which took a star away from this review. I didn't quite understand about the auras until I did some searching online. I wished there's a saved layout for each party I host, because it's a bit annoying to remove some of the structures placed, in order to host a different kind of party that requires different features, but it's not the end of the world as anything deconstructed, materials are returned to inventory. I also wished that chests can be upgraded for more inventory storage, or if I can sell some of the resources I don't want to merchants, or toss them away.

Fun Game with Serious Flaws

Time Played: 32h 55m Overall its a great and fun game, but it does have some flaws. Also the Bigger-On-The-Inside Pack DLC is probably expensive for what you get - buy it on sale. This is a cute and cozy crafting RPG. Unlike most RPGs without combat, this one really does feel like an actual RPG. The game starts out very simple and becomes increasingly complex as you progress further into the game. It can be very easy to be overwhelmed with this game with the skill try and trying to create something with multiple steps, but it is meant to be a slow paced game that you do not rush through. My favorite thing about this game is the magical backpack. It functions as your home base where you save the game and setup your own crafting stations. The screen shots that I've attached are all from my backpack towards the end of the game right before you throw the final party. It's also very customizable where I'm using stuff from different decoration sets in the first screen shot that I've attached. The second screenshot is of the greenhouse room in the backpack where you grow plants that are used when you host popup food stands. The third and fourth screenshots are of the two workbench rooms where I've put different crafting stations (and storage chests.) As much as I like the game, it is hardly flawless. There's a ton of bugs and while none of them are game breaking, there's just lots and lots of little things.... like how in my first screen shot, there's long windows on the right side of the backpack room plus wall decor behind it. Technically only one or the other should be shown, not both. This is an example of the sort of common bugs you run into. The island Greensprout Grove seems to have a memory leak, which I say because the island started lagging in the Greensprout Woods area specifically on this island and nowhere else in the game. Dropping my resolution in the settings helped but ideally, this shouldn't be necessary when I didn't need to fiddle with the settings anywhere else. Another issue is that some of the in-game tutorials don't really explain things well and may leave you fumbling about until you figure it out for yourself. Another thing, I didn't notice any option to skip tutorials, either while playing or as an option setting, which means that it may be necessary to sit through all the tutorials again if the game is played again.

Great game!

The story is simple but it works to introduce its mechanics. The game is a crafting game but it adds a cooking and a party minigame which are much more fun than what I expected.

I only started but this is really cute.

a little slow and time consuming, but this must be one of the most beautiful gaves ive ever seen and its very cute.

Its just like stardew valley its very good im having a lot of fun i recommend
