Full version of Alder's Blood is available here
The story takes place before the events from Alder's Blood and changes the perspective from Chief of the Hunters - to a commoner, named Charles.
Charles, as everyone else in this cruel world, is struggling to stay alive. Daring his luck, out of bravery or desperation - he aims for a quick buck and attempts to hunt the spawns of darkness. If he'll survive - income from reselling the remains of the beasts will secure his livelihood for weeks to come.
What he is not aware of, is how his story will soon unfold and his life... changed forever.
In the world ruled by misery and humanity rotting in shadow of God's dead carcass - death, becomes mercy.

Alder's Demo
This is basically a demo for the main game Alder's Blood. It is free and very short (<30 mins) so try it by yourself rather than reading experience of someone else. It is worth it.

Got me interested!
I really enjoy this kind of tactical games, and i like the art style and atmosphere. A bit confused about some game mechanics though, but as the developers state themselves, it's not supposed to be a real demo. The game is now on my wishlist! What keeps me from giving five stars may or may not be the developers fault, but i can't find a way to turn off the achievement notifications and i hate them, they ruin the atmosphere, they're more annoying than the mice under my sink digging through my garbage, pooping in my kitchenware and making noise when i try to sleep. I don't wanna install and play my games outside the client just to avoid being annoyed to insanity. Isn't a clean experience somehow part of the drm-free concept?

Short, true, but gripping.
Everything just dips with this overall atmosphere of world gone dead. Monster sesign, SFX and ambient sounds, art style, tactical combat mechanics - dig it, every bit of it. Recommended to friends for sure.

Great surprise!
As was mentioned, this demo is short but you get a taste for the mechanics and the story. I love the bleak ambiance of the game, and by the time I was finished, I was hooked. The story seems nice and the writing was much better than I expected. The graphics have a great style to them too. I was a huge fan of the Disciples games and while this is not the same type of game, Alder's Blood has a style reminiscent of Disciples to me. I'm getting the game and giving it a try! Great job guys.
