• 13 games available free for 48 hours as part of a stand for creative freedom and preservation •

August 1st, 2025 – Some games vanish. Not because they broke the law, but because someone decided they shouldn’t exist.

As an archival platform dedicated to protecting gaming history, we believe that if a game is legal and responsibly made, players should be able to enjoy it today – and decades from now. With the launch of FreedomToBuy.games, we’re taking a stand against the quiet erasure of creative works from digital shelves.

We launched FreedomToBuy.games to make a statement: when games are delisted today because of discomfort, reviving them tomorrow becomes exponentially harder.

To mark this initiative, for 48 hours only, a selection of 13 titles will be available for free, thanks to the support of their developers and publishers:

Remember that when you claim these games on GOG, you’re free to download them and safekeep them forever. Nobody can take them away from you.
