DH2005 and Classic Cabela's
If you've played The Hunter in recent years you'll know there hasn't been much choice in the hunting genre. I still play Deer Hunter 2005 once a year. Call of the Hunter is more akin to classic days of hunting games. You're not paying real money to hunt specific animals, or spending real money for a shotgun. If you're a fan of DH2005 and have been waiting for a DRM-Free modern and challenging hunting game this is it. There's a couple of problems on release like no FOV slider that every one freaked about, for some reason, but already two patches have released addressing issues and the game launched yesterday. There's different difficulty levels, the last one more realistic with no helpers and it's hard but fun if you're into hunting games. The game has a story which some might like but I don't really care, you don't have to pay much attention to it. Two maps are going to be released soon. This is just the start of a very good foundation to finally knock theHunter out of top spot in the market.... plus it's drm free!
