Undertale

Even when I don't think this is the best RPG ever made, I think this is the most charming RPG ever made. Some months after playing it I still smile every time I hear a song from the game or every time I see a reference somewhere. This game is like a new friend that feels like an old one, not in the sense that it imitates the past(because there are a lot of other games that do that), but in the sense that I feel an attachment to this game like if I had grown up with it. I know that this is just my own experience and everyone experience the game differently, but you will not now if you can connect with this game until you play it, and given the possible reward and the low price I think it deserves a chance. Even if you don't fully connect with this game I think you will have a good time.

So this game is mainly story story story, don't pick it for the rtx graphics or the immersive combat experience. I consider it to be a well writen story first and everything else second. Also about the story, its not life changing or the next [insert beloved story here] and in my opinion it doesn't need to be, but i enjoyed the writing and the characters and i think the pacing is rather well handled for the duration of the game! Also i really enjoyed the music! The combat isn't revolutionary or anything but i think it fits the game and the story! So yeah that, watch a trailer and half an hour of gameplay or something like that and if it seems interesting its a nice unique experience!

Undertale can be only describbed as less of an actual game and more of experience with button commands, which may sound as negative at first because it implies the game as simple, bt trust me on this one: it is THAT GOOD. The story and deepely estabilished characters are unboubtly a great reward for a battle system that emphasizes interaction rather than fighting, and to wrap all of this the game offers a nice pixel art work and of course: one of the best soundtracks in gaming history! This RPG has my seal of approval. Just keep in mind that your decision making really matters in this game, so... If you choose a different path than mine - treat all characters nicely - Things can become rather... Unsettling.. Also, this game deserves to be played multiple times, it has many different outcomes!

Yeah, it's overrated, not bad mind you, but bleh. The music is great, the originality is there, it's a parady of sorts. Charming... but it goes WAY too long. After 3 hours I was getting bored, 5 hour mark I was done, still didn't finish it. I'd say do some research first. I went in blind just hearing that it was everyone's darling and original, but definitely not for me. It's a 2 star game, but a +1 is for being an interesting indie game. Pass.
