Opis

Good game. Bad price.
I got Tourchlight for free when I pre-ordered Tourchlight II. I went in with fairly low expectations for the first game, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed the game. The combat felt satisfying, the loot is cool and interesting, and I always looked forward to a level up to continue to build my character. That said The game isn't without it's problems. A big one being the total lack of multiplayer. I don't feel the game is really worth $15 anymore. Particularly when you consider you can pre-order Tourchlight II for $20 and get this for free. Sorry GOG. I love you guys and I know you probably don't set the price at least not entirely but this just isn’t enough bang for your buck.

Amazing game, confused on Indie status
Love love love Torchlight. A great game with my only gripe being the skills are rather bland for the most part. Aside from that bit (which can be fixed by modding. Something my guild has done extensively with eachother) its a truly amazing game. Straight up monster bashing with loot that any dungeon crawler will love theres very little negative to say about Torchlight. My confusion comes in with the fact that its considered an indie game here and other places. The developer Runic has Perfect World as a publisher. I thought at its core an indie company was without publisher and "independent"... I could be wrong with that definition I spose. STILL! GREAT GAME!

Familar and New.
Ever play Diablo 2? You know more or less what Torchlight is, an ARPG. Action Role-Playing Game for the one who don't know. It's essentially A less-open more hardcore World of Warcraft. It's fun. Loot is better than D3's, you can have a pet which acts as a courier and combat buddy; but the most important feature I love. The old loot you love can still be useful through the upgrader person. I recommend this game to nearly everyone.

A solid bloodfest
This game is not based in a rich game world with a deep story line, but is just a bloody slug fest with guns, blades, and lots of blood. If you want to enjoy destruction, guns, violence, blood, and mindless monster killing, this is the game for you. I personally love it. Sometimes you want a deep, rich storyline like Ultima VII, but when it's time to just enjoy exploring and destroying things, this game is the one to play.
